[Advertorial] Greenfields Milk - The Healthy Choice of Fresh Milk For Everyone

Milk plays an important part of our daily lives since we are young. We know that milk is good for everyone for its calcium benefits. Since the two older children of mine have slowly weaned off from their milk powder, they have started to consume fresh milk more frequently. Thanks to Greenfields, they sent us a range of their milk products for us to try.

Fresh Milk comes in 2 litre, 1 litre, 500ml and 200ml packaging
Chocolate Malt comes in 1 litre, 500ml and 200ml packaging
High Calcium Skimmed Milk comes in 1 litre packaging
High Calcium Low Fat comes in 2 litre and 1 litre packaging

Greenfields milk are freshly produced from their integrated dairy farm based at Gunung Kawi, Malang, East Java with over 6,000 Holstein cows which produce over 20 million litres of fresh milk each year! Milk from Greenfields is of the highest quality that meets the world's toughest microbiological standards. Honest milk that is fresh and safe for everyone to consume, with no additives, chemicals, antibiotics and hormones included.

As a mother, it is a relief to know that our children are drinking milk that is safe, fresh and tastes great. Fresh milk is not only beneficial for direct consumption, it is also a great ingredient to be added in cooking or baking.

Personally I am not a Cantonese but I find this Cantonese dessert so easy to do without going through any steaming or baking process. If you love tao huay (soya beancurd), you might like this too if you are fine with the ginger taste. Come to think of it, it will be a nice dessert for ladies who are doing confinement or people who loves ginger.

~Ginger Milk Pudding 薑汁撞奶~
It's a very simple recipe which consists of:
250ml fresh milk
4 tsp fresh ginger juice
2 tsp of sugar (optional)
*the ingredients stated above can produce 2 bowls of ginger milk pudding

1) I use old gingers because the starchy content in the ginger juice aids in solidifies the milk. I will pour the required amount into the number of bowls I'm going to prepare. Let the juice rest for a while and starchy material will settle to the bottom of the bowl.
2) The trick lies with the temperature of the milk. Make sure the milk is heated up till 80 degrees Celsius.
3) This is the crucial part! When the milk is ready, I will quickly stir the ginger juice before pouring the milk into the bowl. Once the milk is in the bowl, do not stir and let it rest for 5-10 minutes. The magic will happen & you will have a nice bowl of ginger milk pudding for dessert.
4) If you prefer the sweeter version, you can either add the sugar while cooking the milk or just drizzle a bit of sugar syrup on top of the pudding before serving.

On normal work days when I want to have a healthy smoothie drink, I will use Greenfield's High Calcium Skimmed Milk which only contains 0.1% fat of fresh milk, or High Calcium Low Fat version with only 1.3% fat! And blend the milk together with plain yogurt and fruits.

On hot days, I love to drink cold fresh milk top with Milo powder.

  1. Wow, that easy?! ...but the tricky part is really tricky... ;p

The idea of topping with Milo powder in the cold fresh milk is brilliant!
