Salt Grill & Sky Bar @ Ion Orchard

How did I feel while eating and sitting on the 55th~56th storey in a building? My answer was I felt like I'm on top of the world. Okay, we did not make any prior reservation so we were not seated by the window side otherwise everything will be perfect just the way we wanted it to be :P

While waiting for our food, they served tomato soup in the cup (initially I thought it was some fruit juice) and fresh warm bread. It's complimentary :)

We started with tapas: Confit duck & mustard fruit wrapped in brick pastry, apple mayo ($28)
The dish looked like our chinese version of "spring roll" except the content inside was different. A mixture of sweet and salty on the taste bud.

Hb ordered confit belly, braised cheek, bacon wrapped loin,
spring cabbage and apple ($70)

I ordered Wagyu cut of the day ($89).
It was very yummy for sure. I think the way the meat was cooked and presented to the customer was very thoughtful coz it was cut into several smaller pieces.

Finally, we ordered Mango and coconut bomb Alaska ($21) for dessert.
Something new and we have never tried before. I'm not a fan of coconut but the coconut they have inside is not too empowering and just nice for my taste bud.

So remember next time if you want to get a good seat with a nicer view, its better to make a reservation beforehand :)
