Au Petit Salut

Hb brought me to a nice French restaurant the day before my b'day as he raved about the nice food served in Au Petit Salut located at Harding Road. We were basically almost late for the last order at lunch time.

We ordered their set lunch & it was definitely one of the nicest French food I tried in Singapore. I hope hb will bring me there again someday :)

Piping hot breads were served while waiting for our starters
Starter: Pork rillettes, Violet mustard & sage
I loved the nutty taste that blended nicely with the meat.
Starter: Salad of lamb's lettuce, pickled mushrooms, cauliflower & duck gizzards
The greens were really very fresh..
Mains: Bavette steak, 'Pommes Mousseline', fricassee of sweet corn and Brussels Sprouts
French duck leg confit, pear, pumpkin & vanilla puree and Verjuice
The duck meat melted in my mouth & great combi with the pear.
Dessert: Soya cheesecake, wild strawberry compote, vanilla crumble and Jasmine sorbet
Not too cheesy to my palate & very yummy too.
Dessert: Dessert de jour daily chef's creation (Dark chocolate mousse cake with raspberry sorbet)
I loved the rich chocolate taste with the tangy & sour taste of the raspberry.

Shh....I was slightly under dressed that day coz I was wearing my flip-flop :P
