Gizmos & Gadgets Kit from TOYTAG

It is a fact that children living in this era are getting more tech-savvy than adults. Usually, my children are the ones who will update me with the latest online application and technology related stuff. I am constantly upgrading myself through learning new things from them every now and then. Children are fast learners and they learn things by observing what people do (regardless the source is through online or practical demonstration in front of them). Thus, the task of buying toys for my children tends to be more challenging as the year passes.

When I told the kind folks from TOYTAG about my children's preference for toys. They sent a box of an educational toy for them to explore. Needless to say, they were so excited when I showed them the exterior of the box. Due to the clash with their exam period, they only have the chance to explore it after their exams have ended.

About TOYTAG:
"As cliché as it sounds, Toy Tag started out as an idea. An idea to house the best, most awesome toys and games and everything else fun, all under one roof. It’s tiring to scour all over for these items in their respective categories, you know. Be it the most cutting-edge gadgetry, the most delightful kid toy, the most stimulating educational game or the most tactical board games, we wanted them all available at one pit stop: which is TOYTAG as you know today."

What amazed me about this toy is the ability to allow children to use their creativity to create different types of invention. If they are clueless about where to start, fret not!  There is an invention guidebook with step by step instructions on how to create fun electronic gadgets.

What's in the box? 13 bits, materials and accessories in the box.

Each bit has a different function.

There is a step by step invention guidebook to follow.

LittleBits App can be downloaded into the mobile phone.

LittleBits community will share openly about their inventions.

Step by step instruction on how to use the Bluetooth function to control or activate the device.

The bits are colour coded and divided into 4 categories.
Blue: Power
Pink: Input
Green: Output
Orange: Wire

Fan of fortune

We did an unboxing video and the children tested the bits using phone apps to control. They built something which is similar to the "pinball" version and it was fun to see them built something by connecting all the bits and accessories together.
