A Day At The Forest Adventure

It's been a long while since I brought the kids out for some outdoor fun. This year, our lives have been pretty boring and I mean really BORING! On most Saturdays, I just want to laze at home and finish up with house chores. When they knew I was going to bring them to try out Forest Adventure, they were so excited.

Forest Adventure is located inside Bedok Reservoir Park. After we parked the car at the nearby carpark, it took us about 10 minutes to walk to the destination. Booking in advance at their website is recommended in case there is no more time slot for you at the designated time.

It is advisable to come slightly earlier than the designated booking time because it will take a while for them to get ready to put on their gear. 20 minutes of safety briefing will be taking place before they are allowed to start the obstacle course.

There are 3 types of designated course available. The Grand CourseThe Junior Course and The Kids Course. Of course, you can read up on this information from the website about the difference between these obstacles and pricing. I signed the littlest up for The Kids Course and the older kids for The Junior Course. That day, I purposely booked the 4.30pm time slot so that the weather will not be too hot for them knowing that they will take about 2 to 3 hours to finish all obstacles course.

At the end of the obstacle course, only The Junior Course and The Grand Course participants will get to experience The Big Zip which is a 300m zip line over the water.

Remember to dress your kids well in comfortable tops and bottoms with sports shoes. I brought along their water bottles in case they were thirsty. Do not fret if your kids have forgotten to bring water bottles because the ticket counter sells ice-creams, drinks and some snacks.

The only downside is the unpredictable weather because it is an outdoor activity. Make sure you check the weather forecast properly before booking. Even after booking, there is a slight possibility that it will rain. We were pretty lucky on that day as the rain only came after we have returned to the carpark.

  1. My kids are itching to be able to do something like this. They are still way too young at the moment. I know that they're going to absolutely love the thrill of climbing when they're big enough though!
