DIY Mask

I came across this very useful article on cheap & easy DIY face mask in the magazine, so just thought that I share this information with all the mothers / mothers-to-be. Facial regimen & maintenance is quite important for women, at least we won't look like 黄脸婆 (old hag) so soon. Anyway, you can try at your own risk hor :P

Oily Skin - Banana Mask (The enzymes in bananas will help soothe your skin)
Ingredients:
1 ripe banana
1 tbsp honey
An orange or a lemon
Method:
1. Mix the banana and honey together.
2. Add a few drops of juice from an orange or a lemon.
3. Apply to face for 15 minutes before rinsing with a cool washcloth or a steaming washcloth.

Dry Skin - Avocado Mask (Avocadoes and honey are known for their moisturizing properties)
Ingredients:
1/2 avocado
1/4 cup honey
Method:
1. Mash avocado in a bowl, then stir in honey.
2. Apply to skin and leave for 10 minutes.
3. Rinse face with a cool washcloth.

Problem Skin - Papaya Mask (Helps to clear impurities that cause pimples, blackheads and spots)
Ingredients:
Ripe papaya
Method:
1. Remove seeds and skin. Mash papaya.
2. Rub pulp gently on the face.
3. Apply once every teo to three days.

Problem Skin - Potato Mask (Helps to treat skin blemishes, wrinkles, boils, pimples, acne and blackheads)
Ingredients:
Peeled potato
Method:
1. Grate potato.
2. Apply grated potato on skin.
3. Apply this mask once a week to find clean clear skin over the long term.

All Skin Types - Fruit Mask (Effective antioxidants may be used both internally and externally)
Ingredients:
1 Orange
1 Lemon
1 Cucumber
Method:
1. Grind ingredients in a mixer.
2. Apply the mixture on your face and wash off after 20 minutes.
3. Use daily for seven days and see a marked improvement on your skin.

Wrinkled Skin - Apple Mask (Smoothen wrinkles and moisturize skin)
Ingredients:
1 Apple
1 tbsp honey
Method:
1. Peel and core apple.
2. Mash it well and blend with honey.
3. Apply this mixture on the face and neck in a slow & upwards motion.
4. Wash off with warm water after 15 minutes.
5. Try this thrice a week and then once a week to see your wrinkles fade away.

Tips: Ensure your hands, food and items are throughly cleansed before use. If your skin develops an allergic reaction, stop and rinse away the mask immediately. Results may vary.
