Practice Makes Perfect

I never have much problem when 2 older kids started to learn how to write. I was a simply "bo-chap" mommy and thought this sort of skill will be easily pick up along the way.
Probably I know that I am not going to try for another baby, which explains why I'm so "kan-cheong" over the youngest baby in the house.

When his teachers feedback to me about his problem with his pencil grip and affected the way he writes, I started to worry. I tried to teach him to grip the pencil using the correct way and after a while he will start to hold the pencil the wrong way again.

I remembered I bought a few of those blue rubber type pencil grips before that can be placed through all types of pencil. I let him gripped the pencil for a few minutes and his fingers started to change position again. I was feeling so frustrated!

I knew there were some good ergonomic pencils available in the market but I was quite hesitant to spend so much money on a pencil. I mean how on earth would someone need this sort of pencil? Well...never say never because in the end, I BOUGHT it.

Needless to say, that very night Junior YS was very happy and he managed to hold it the correct way until he finished his writing practise that night :)
